We are currently seeking for a dynamic VP of Operations to join our team at our office in Arkansas.  The VP of Operations will be responsible for the Arkansas Engagement Center. The VP of Operations will lead and be responsible for the successful implementation and go live of the Arkansas PASSE program and to sustain a high level of operational effectiveness of the assigned plan.  The VP of Operations will be a critical partner to the VP Account Partnerships and the VP Clinical Services, who must maintain awareness of client strategic issues and how they contribute to overall account satisfaction and growth.  The VP of Operations will engage and collaborate with operational partners in the region and in shared services to deliver on client success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides operational oversight of roll out of AR PASSE program to ensure contractual compliance with all state, federal and Board requirements

  • Serves as implementation lead for program, both with vendor partners and internal business leads

  • Primary relationship owner of vendor partnerships to include Medical TPA and Networking entity

  • Responsible for developing and managing delegation oversight structure for vendor partnerships

  • Serves as primary contact for vendor partners; uses a data driven approach to monitor vendor performance; and ensures senior leadership are included and informed on issues related to contract performance

  • Collaborates with shared services/corporate operations team to ensure contractual requirements are met for functions performed by Beacon Health Options

  • Communicates regularly on program to executive team

  • Manages AR engagement center operations and staff

  • Leads operations meetings with internal and external teams to discuss strategic initiatives, client deliverables, special projects, progress on CAP’s, workflow, logistics, process improvements and other site or contract related issues.

  • Partners with site teams in workflow development and/or enhancement across all operational areas.

  • Develops plans for managing/retaining talent within Business Operations and improve leadership strength.

  • Provides direction, leadership, and feedback to direct reports and the business operations team to ensure the department meets client and company expectations and standards consistently.

  • Leads and performs special projects, and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, healthcare or related field required.Master’s degree highly preferred.

  • At least 10 years’ of progressively responsible management experience in business operations capacity within the managed care/healthcare industry.

  • Knowledge of health plan operations and delegation oversight preferred

  • Familiarity with AR Medicaid and provider community preferred

  • Knowledge of operational best practices, productivity, and strategy design for managed care organizations.

  • Ability to multi-task and balance the interest of multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in project management.

  • Proven ability to maintain excellent relationship in a matrix style environment.

  • Proven ability to recognize problems in early stages, develop preventive measures and workable alternative solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills to senior leadership and clients.

  • Experience in team leadership and management to achieve optimal team results.
