ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Vice President, Network Strategy to join our team in New York or New Jersey region. . The Vice President of Network Strategy will serve as a single point of accountability for all externally related network work and activity (i.e. contracting, provider relations, network builds, new business implementation support, client audits and value based payment arrangements) related to their assigned region.  The VP, Network Strategy works in close alignment and has a “seat at the table” with the regional leadership (Market President, COO, Chief Partnership Officer, CFO, and Clinical VP) for their assigned region they support to ensure access to quality behavioral health services.

Work Location: Desire candidate to reside and work remotely within New York or New Jersey area. (Region 2)

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategy focused on network expansion or enhancements in order to meet organizational and regional goals

  2. Lead the provider relations function and create and maintain ensure positive prover relationships within the region they serve in order to achieve provider satisfaction targets

  3. Accountable for metrics related to all provider network performance functions

  4. Oversees all contracting within the region

  5. Lead initiatives to ensure periodic review of provider contracting rates to ensure strategic focus is on target with overall regional strategy

  6. Drives network build outs as applicable within the region for both existing and new business

  7. Oversees audits related to Network

  8. Establishes and administers value based payment arrangements where applicable

  9. Achievement of all assigned financial goals

  10. Aligns with our clinical and medical department on goals related to access and good clinical outcome

  11. Work collaboratively with Business Development on new market and new product development initiatives related to network initiatives

  12. Supports and works in collaborates with peers to create best practices

  13. Leads a team and is responsible for:

  14. Overall lifecycle of employee

  15. Develops, coaches and educates staff to support success and development

  16. Compliance with all related employee trainings, reviews and requirements as applicable

  17. Travel to all company sponsored events, trainings, and locations based on business needs.

  18. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree, with advanced degree preferred or 4 years’ experience in a client facing role in healthcare environment

Licensure:  N/A

Relevant Work Experience:  

Requires at least 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in healthcare, with at least five (5) of those years network related. Demonstrated 6-8 years of experience within health care in Network Strategy.  Leader of people and process.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills

  • Effective leadership and analytical skills, including network management

  • Exceptional ability to develop and manage results-oriented recruiting and training programs

  • Strong mentoring and relationship building skills with ability to effectively manage large groups

  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Outlook and Word with Excel skills

  • Proven experience leading teams through periods of significant growth or change

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to lead and motivate a growing and changing service operation; able to engage with directors and managers at all levels across the business to achieve goals and objectives

  • Ability to manage and coordinate with internal and external departments

  • Able to work collaboratively with internal staff and external stakeholders (provider organizations, clients, etc.)

  • Ability to travel to all company sponsored events, trainings, and locations based on business needs.
