ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Trainer II to join our team.  The Trainer will be responsible for conducting live and remote trainings specific to operational technical tasks related to the clinical role with the organization.

This position is based in New York State.  Flexible to work out of our Latham or Manhattan offices, with need to travel between the two approximately 25% of the time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Preparing training materials, training, assessing learning and providing coaching and feedback to participants in the classroom (virtual or in-person).
  • Responsible for technical writing and the design of new training courses.
  • Administrative Requirement including completing paperwork, training tracking, weekly status reports and SharePoint updates
  • Training Requirements include:  In-person instructor led training and Remote / WebEx training for clinical training, on-boarding programs, implementation training, ad-hoc training programs, train basic Microsoft Programs and train internal software applications
  • Instructional Design Requirements include applying instructional design methods when developing courses, complete Needs Analyses for new programs, design learning objectives, make recommendations for training methods based on audience needs, develop course materials, implement new training programs
  • Technical Writing Requirements include creating a documentation plan for new reference, manage a SharePoint site (site admin), create reference materials using the Standards of Technical Writing and Beacon Training Style

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Licensure:  None required

Relevant Work Experience:   At least one year of working in healthcare or related field and at least one year of working in a training role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • At least an intermediate level of knowledge or ability in the following:
    • Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and PowerPoint
    • SharePoint and WebEx
    • Analysis and problem solving
    • Interpersonal communication
    • Verbal and written communication
    • Group presentation and public speaking
    • Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy
