ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking an experienced EAP Workplace Consultant to assist in the leadership of our team at our office in Cypress, CA  The EAP Workplace Consultant Team Lead will provide guidance to client organizations regarding behavioral problems in the workplace and handles contacts/requests /referrals from client organization management regarding troubled employees, critical incidents, training and other events impacting the workplace such as reduction in force.  The team lead will perform consultation in high level situations and assist the HPS Director with implementations and with internal consultation.  This is a working position in which the team lead activities will be integrated with EAP Workplace Consultant responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position also provides assessments, referrals and coordinates counseling services to individuals whose job performance may be impacted by person problems.
  • Conducts telephone assessments and consultation with worksite representatives to identify appropriate interventions for both individuals and organizations.
  • Supports implementation initiatives in coordination with HPS Director to identify customized organizational services requirements for new accounts.
  • Prepares and presents training to client organizations and provides as liaison with account management to service client accounts.
  • Responds to client organization requests for services: Mandatory/Management referrals of employees under performance improvement plans or conditional work agreements. Intake, monitoring and case management to conclusion of treatment plan.

Position Requirements:

Education: Minimum of a master’s degree in mental health related discipline or a minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing with related psychiatric nursing experience.

Licensure: Current, valid and unrestricted license in a State or territory of the United States in a mental health field (Ph.D., LCSW, MFT, MHC or LPC.)

Relevant Work Experience:  Three (3) to five (5) years direct practice experience in  psychiatric or substance abuse treatment.  Experience in settings that include inpatient, partial, and/or outpatient care preferred. Minimum of one year documented successful experience providing EAP organizational service coordination to client organizations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with computer based information systems and keyboard skills sufficient to type 40 words per minute.
  • Ability to interact and consult professionally with all levels of organizations, both within ValueOptions and within client companies.
