ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Technical Business Systems Analyst II to join our team at our office in Rocky Hill, CT.  The Technical Business Systems Analyst II will be responsible for interfacing with Corporate Departments, and Development Teams to identify business requirements, developing/implementing solutions, and providing service for all software enhancements, data exchanges, and local information technology projects. Will ensure that best practices are understood and adhered to with a focus on improving business processes and operational efficiencies while improving the overall service levels.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Information Technology management team to review requirements/assignments on new implementation/projects, coordinating tasks to insure prioritization falls within the corporate strategic direction. Ensure project specifications are appropriately documented/stored/maintained in appropriate folders through implementation and support life cycles, develop testing scenarios and conduct thorough testing for requested changes ensuring that existing functionality is unaffected. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for (end-user) testing, as needed.
  • Analyzes business requirements and develops design specifications that include business rules, logical flow charts, edit logic, etc.
  • Demonstrates a basic knowledge of job responsibilities and an awareness of software development, data exchanges and information technology systems in relationship to the overall business to include identifying and proactively reporting issues to both internal and external business partners.
  • Ensures that project timelines are continuously reviewed and project risks are appropriately reported to IT management and business teams.
  • Ensures that project objectives are met reported to IT management and business teams
  • Monitors and resolves local Help Desk Tickets.
  • Builds Information Technology end user training guides/ manuals and ensure documentation is kept up to date with new product offerings
  • Evaluates and addresses business and system implications including system data integrity. Consult with management when it is appropriate.

Position Requirements:

Education: Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems. Bachelor’s Degree and PMP certification preferred.

Licensure:  None

Relevant Work Experience:   4-5 years’ experience in an analytical/ application development role or equivalent work experience required. Health Care industry knowledge preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of product life cycle and change management methodologies.

  • Good written and oral communications.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite and Visio Flowcharts.

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Project.

  • Detailed understanding of system design, application functionality, and data structures.

  • Analytical and problem solving ability.

  • Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy.
