About The Position:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Sr. Director, Project Manager for the Enterprise Project Management Office to join our team at our Boston, MA headquarters.  The Sr. Director is an established project management and business advisory professional responsible for leading multiple enterprise projects as well as supports and leads other staff members in the successful delivery of critical corporate initiatives.  Candidates should have a deep background in project/program management, business analysis, change management, communications and team leadership.  The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of demonstrated experience ideally in healthcare, management consulting or professional services industries.    To be successful you must be an expert at project/program delivery, multi-tasking, stakeholder/sponsor management, coaching, developing and leading junior and emerging staff members as well as be willing to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details of critical delivery efforts and drive to fruition.  The Principal will report to the Vice President of the Enterprise Project Management Office.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads planning, organization and management of integration, regulatory and operations projects across the Beacon enterprise.
  • Partners with project sponsors, business owners and stakeholders to transform strategies into defined projects. Build and manage associated delivery artifacts: charter, project plans, scope statement, work breakdown structure, schedule, change management plan, etc.
  • Works closely with key personnel and subject matter experts across all departments to ensure coordinated management of project activities.
  • Track report on project status including schedule and scope audience, risks and issues, etc.; inform on broader portfolio health.
  • Perform due diligence on project proposals, vendor SOWs and solution RFPs.
  • In tandem with business sponsors and owners, develop clear, logical and sound business cases supported by qualitative and quantitative analysis where needed.
  • Assist junior and emerging staff members in the creation and management of key project artifacts and processes (i.e charter, scope, project plan, work breakdown structure, communication plan, risk/change management, governance, etc.).
  • Track, report and resolve issues related to project health including schedule/scope adherence, risks, budget, resource allocation, etc.
  • Contribute to the development of business cases, requirements, operational and system workflows, use cases, etc. in order to analyze and recommend business solutions and enhancements.
  • Provides a collaborative partnership to resolve environmental constraints, as required; escalates to executive leadership, as appropriate.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of company strategic objectives, product offerings, platform/ system enhancements, and any industry, legislative, or regulatory changes that may impact the company portfolio of products and services.

Position Requirements:

  • Education : College Bachelor’s degree required, Masters or MBA preferred
  • Licenses:  Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred not required (equivalent experience taken into consideration)
  • Relevant Work Experience:  10+ years of experience in project/program management within the medical/behavioral health provider community or serving in similar roles within healthcare, professional services or management consulting industries.  7+ years managing personnel in a direct reporting and/or matrix environment.  Demonstrated blend of tactical and strategic experience in developing and executing on highly visible and sensitive organizational initiatives.
