Job Description


We are currently seeking a results-driven SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE to join our growing team in New Jersey. The SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE will report to the VP, Client Partnerships and provide a wide range of management, administrative coordination and support, and marketing to clients. The position will monitor account status and provide ongoing follow up and reports to the VP, Client Partnerships and the client.

*** Individual may work remote - travel throughout NJ is required and may include travel within the tri-state and mid-atlantic regions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Resolving day-to-day operational issues
  • Participating in design, development and implementation of program operations; ensuring that all-relevant departments are involved in providing service to meet contract standards
  • Achieve client retention (via renewals/re-procurements) by developing deep familiarity with all aspects of client contract including products, service levels, and client key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Leverage deep knowledge of client needs to proactively identify and execute cross-sell opportunities
  • Presenting information concerning Beacon services, serving as Beacon’s representative at monitoring/oversight and other committee meetings.
  • Continually monitoring status of client account; assessing client needs, and identifying and resolving problems and responding to client inquiries concerning account services
  • Monitoring, gathering information, analyzing and reporting on account status and program effectiveness, providing reports and analyses to appropriate client personnel.
  • Monitoring and assessing quality of services and program design; recommend and support implementation program design changes to meet client requirements
  • Maintaining continual contact with the client leadership regarding account status; serves as prime liaison to the client programs staff.
  • Performing other duties as requested or assigned

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with advanced degree preferred or 4 years’ experience in a client facing role in a healthcare environment

Licensure: Licensure in a behavioral health related field preferred

Relevant Work Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in a behavioral health care related field preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of Medicaid from both a provider and vendor perspective preferred
  • Thorough understanding of managed care and business management, including knowledge of statistical analysis and computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral health clinical services will be beneficial
  • Strong Analysis & Problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Must possess strong group presentation and public speaking abilities
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
