Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Specialty Program Supervisor to join our team at our office in Chesapeake, VA .  The Specialty Program Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to effectively translate the needs of the client into the delivery mode.  The Specialty Program Supervisor will ensure that specialized consultation services, resource, referrals and consultations to military service members and their families who are experiencing personal and other problems are provided in a courteous, timely and professional manner.  The Specialty Program Supervisor will maintain the highest degree of sensitivity, compassion, and respect for service members and their families and ensure that ValueOptions Federal Services remains free of any political bias and will ensure consistency of service regardless of installation, location or any other factor

Position Responsibilities:

•         Direct Military OneSource Specialty Consultants in coordinating activities in all assigned areas of responsibility

•         Manage daily performance metrics of specialty consultants through report monitoring and appointment spread sheet review; coordinate with Reporting and Specialty consultants’ assigned Clinical Supervisor as needed

•         Work with shared services management to identify and recommend innovative ways to provide and improve services to Military families through specialty consultations

•         Evaluate current business processes and applies methodologies to impact process improvement; ensure consistency across specialty programs

•         Facilitate 1:1 meetings with staff and weekly/bi-weekly team meetings

•         Meetings with team SME/Auditor, calibrate calls, coordinate coaching opportunities, and approve consultation calls for government review received by team SME/Auditor

•         Maintain up to date schedule of all consultants; coordinate with workforce management team

•         Recruit new team members, coordinate on-boarding with training team; maintain up to date program training materials to include all workflows, power point trainings and tip sheets. Conduct all triage new hire training.

•         Develop and launch internal marketing campaigns using flyers, videos and ad hoc trainings; send out team and triage communications in regards to updates to program materials or changes in workflows

•         Support Program Manager with providing program updates, government inquiry support and performance feedback updates

 

Position Requirements: Education: Master’s degree in Behavioral Science with special emphasis in Mental Health and Employee Assistance programs preferred

Licensure:  Independent License preferred, but not required.

Relevant Work Experience:   Five years of prior military (or equivalent civilian experience) and supervisory and project management experience preferred; call center experience preferred, Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Experienced in managing virtual employees; Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem solving skills; Knowledge of Employee Assistance Program Industry; Ability to think and operate at both the strategic and operational level; Experienced in data analysis and report development; Ability to lead and inspire others; Group facilitation skills; Proactive in identifying area of improvement and acting upon it; Excellent time management skills and ability to make timely decisions; Problem solving and decision making skills.
