About The Position:

We are hiring a Solution Manager within our IT Corporate Applications Services group to help us continue to deliver meaningful improvements to our Finance and Procurement business customers as well as our employee experiences, through the use of best practice processes and industry leading cloud business applications.

This position is the connective tissue between our business stakeholders and IT.  You will be responsible for fostering cross-functional business relationships, developing and managing Finance and Procurement related application roadmaps, defining business requirements, managing project intake as well as execution using an agile delivery methodology where possible. You will also be responsible for planning and driving communication and change management activities as it relates to the Finance and Procurement related applications.

This role reports to the Director, Corporate Application Services and requires a high degree of collaboration with smart, passionate business minded leaders across the organization. Business process and technology acumen combined with an ability to build relationships, influence, bring a value-add perspective and to deliver quality solutions on time will be keys to your success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plays a lead role in the support, configuration and selection of our Finance and Procurement related applications (currently Oracle EBS, Hyperion, Discoverer, Bottomline) to drive and enable business strategies. Working as a partner and key liaison within the IT Corporate Applications Services group, ensures applications and solutions are relevant, functioning correctly and optimized.
  • Participates in, and sometimes leads, cross-functional project teams to provide and implement effective solutions for Finance and Procurement. This includes assisting with specification development, RFP development, screening, facilitating demonstrations, aiding in application selection, etc.
  • Assists in the development of key financial reports and ensures accuracy of the output.
  • Acts as system administrator for the Oracle EBS applications which includes application configuration, security refinement, interface development, reporting, occasional training and customer support.
  • Acts as the key liaison to Oracle support as well as other vendors for applications Finance and Procurement are using, leveraging strong partnerships to ensure Beacon’s needs and interests are delivered; influences development of future enhancements.
  • Supports development and implementation of standardized processes; assists in the evaluation of current processes and recommends/makes adjustments as needed including but not limited to technical processes, data integrity, systems integration and communication. Keeps up to date on all applications end of service, upgrades, patches, etc.
  • Partners with Finance and Procurement groups to assist in the simplification and automation of processing and validation of all onboarding, rehires, transfers, pay increases, promotions, demotions and sets the standards for customer support related to these activities.
  • Gathers requirements, writes, tests and delivers reports.
  • Manages all other Finance and Procurement specific applications as needed

Position Requirements:

  • 5 + years in Finance technology and systems/applications; background using and configuring Oracle EBS, Discoverer, Hyperion, and iProcurement.  
  • Strong business analysis skills (process flow definition, requirements elicitation and documentation).
  • Strong technical skills and demonstrated capability within system administration, including opportunities to streamline and automate manual processes.
