Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Administrator to join our team at our office in Reston, VA.  The ServiceNow Administrator will be responsible for working with a cross functional team to manage the configuration, implementation and maintenance of Beacon’s Service Now system. The position will manage workflows, user roles and access, integrations, and will implement and drive automation in the system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, configure and implement architectural solutions in ServiceNow to meet business needs
  • Perform day to day support, administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform
  • Work closely with the Beacon IT team and business users to build requested items and tasks using workflows to manage processes from the customer to the fulfillment teams
  • Maintain the long-term vision of solutions on the ServiceNow platform
  • Work directly with end users to resolve support issues within ServiceNow
  • Monitor system stability and performance metrics to prevent service degradation or interruption
  • Identify opportunities for and implement service improvements across all functional areas (e.g. – training, knowledge management, documentation, service desk processes)
  • Develop systems integrations and process automation
  • Perform installation and testing of ServiceNow updates and new releases
  • Develop clear and concise technical and process documentation
  • Maintain expert knowledge on the ServiceNow platform, technical services and utilities
  • Manage ServiceNow version updates and new releases which includes testing, documentation, analysis of new functionality and implementation of the release across TEST and PROD regions.
  • Provide mentoring and training to peers within IT

Position Requirements:

Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required.  Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Business, or a Healthcare related field preferred.             

Licensure:  ServiceNow System Administrator Certification required.  ITIL v3 Foundation Certification a plus.

Relevant Work Experience:   At least two (2) years of ServiceNow administration experience in an enterprise environment required.  Must also have at least two (2) years of experience with ServiceNow integrations and ServiceNow scripting.  Experience in ServiceNow Web technologies (JavaScript, XML, HTML, etc.) and/or ServiceNow Discovery is a plus.
