Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Service Coordinator. The Service Coordinator assists the account staff in completing projects that enable clients to be effectively served through the crisis system including external communication on the website, data tracking and reporting and coordination between entities.

Position Responsibilities:

  1.  Maintains the Washington ASO website, keeping it updated with new information and removing outdated information in a timely manner.

  2. Maintain crisis system data dashboard to monitor system performance, identify trends and patterns to guide decision-making.

  3. Load person alerts into the regional crisis line system within 24 hours of receiving the information.

  4. Assist Director with performance reports to clients.

  5. Accepts phone calls from members, providers or other service agencies that are requesting additional information on the available clinical services and programs.

  6. Enters relevant call notes and information in Connects.

  7. Maintains logs and other data bases regarding utilization management and care coordination activities

  8. Coordinates with other agencies and staff as needed.

  9. Consistently provides members, providers and internal staff with exceptional customer service.

  10. Provides resources to members.

  11. Maintains schedule that allows for appropriate coverage.

  12. Adhere to all Beacon policies, procedures, and standards of operations.

  13. Completes all required and assigned trainings.

  14. Attend all mandatory company or department meetings.

  15. Report to each scheduled shift, commence work, and perform essential job function at the start of each schedule shift.

  16. Displays a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor that is conducive to a safe and respectful work environment.

  17. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required.

Position Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED required.  Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, and/or Sociology) preferred

Licensure:  N/A

Relevant Work Experience:   

  1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in Customer Service

  2. Strong execution and follow-up skills, organization, and ability to multi-task are key.

  3. Experience in behavioral health setting, either provider or payer, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize multiple issues, excellent organizational skills, ability to track multiple projects/tasks and follow through as needed.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with  ability to use Microsoft Excel to run reports, gather and track data, build equations and tables.

  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external departments

  • Able to work collaboratively with internal staff and external providers

  • Must be detail oriented; able to work independently in an ever changing environment

  • Must have excellent communication skills.
