Senior Project Manager – Enterprise Project Management Office

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join our Enterprise Project Management Office at our Boston, MA headquarters.  You will be the lead resource to implement and deliver key Beacon product offerings and solutions to our customers while ensuring all business and project goals are met. You will own the customer, vendor, supplier and internal relationships during the implementation process and drive the success of the overall product delivery engagement. Beacon’s family of products are designed and built to help people manage their lives to the fullest by addressing the challenges associated with mental, behavior health and substance abuse. 

Partnering with the EPMO, Sales, Client Service, Product & Innovation, and Information Technology teams, your focus will be on the successful implementation of new product offering and services to existing and growth clients of the firm.  In addition, the Project Manager will be expected to offer insights and feedback on deployment methodology, process and be flexible to work within the confines of client organizational abilities and resources.  

To be successful, you must be ambitious and ready to step-up, and have strong leadership, communication and team building skills.  This individual must be able to work across various products and implementation tracks while partnering with key subject matter experts, support teams, product owners and client executives to ensure successful client delivery.  Additionally, qualified candidates will be able to understand how to manage client expectations around product features and what variance, if any, may be available.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact and interface between the client, partner vendor(s) and internal staff to ensure a timely and high quality implementation

  • Partner with clients to develop and manage requirements, delivery plan and ensure implementations stay within agreed upon scope, budget and schedule.

  • Coordinate across Beacon and partner resources to ensure necessary tasks and deliverables are completed in a high quality manner.

  • Ensure clear and consistent communication to all internal and external sponsors and stakeholders throughout the engagement lifecycle; escalate barriers and blockers to appropriate leadership members for resolution

  • Provide clear and concise project tracking, reporting and team accoutability.  This includes but is not limited to meeting minutes, weekly status reporting, action item tracking, regular project plan maintenance, metrics reporting,  steering committee meetings, etc.

  • Build and mature relationships; partner with staff and subject matter experts across departments and organizations to ensure effective coordination and delivery of activities.

  • Maintain current knowledge of company products and services portfolio

Position Requirements:

  • Education: College Bachelor’s degree required

  • Licensure: PMP preferred but not required (equivalent experience taken into consideration)

  • 8+ years of experience in Project or Product Management with an emphasis on implementation and delivery. 

  • Experience within medical/behavioral health community or serving in similar roles within healthcare, software or management consulting industries

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Sharepoint)

  • Travel may be required - <25%

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience in successfully  building and managing cross capability client solutions

  • Able to manage and guide challenging conversations with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Developed presentation, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

  • Strong organizational, communication/presentation, planning, and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with both internal and client resources

  • An approachable style that just makes people want to work with you - and that helps build great relationships between other people and groups.

  • Comfortable driving solution progress forward – even when your team does not have the answers yet.  Dealing with the unknown and uncertainty is no big deal for you.

  • You keep people accountable and know when to “push” vs “pull”

  • You don’t like to stand by when you notice opportunity for improvement… if there is something that could work better for your project, team, or Beacon you speak up and drive the dialog

  • Comfortable with group presentations, facilitation and public speaking
