Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Quality Management Specialist III to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO.  The Quality Management Specialist III will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of clinical and provider-related quality activities, including the evaluation and investigation of potential quality of care issues, provider treatment record reviews, performance measurement and improvement, and provider monitoring, education and support in achieving performance goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and evaluate potential quality of care issues and adverse incidents; Compile reports and attend associated meetings and training. Provide clinical consultation to other QM team members and providers.

  • Participate in analyzing BHO performance based on quantifiable measures. In collaboration with Quality team members, BHO partners and other departments, take the lead in developing and implementing clinical interventions designed to improve BHO and provider performance

  • Coordinate performance improvement activities and track results within the QM Department as well as inter-departmentally, and communicate results to partner and provider organizations as specified.

  • Assist in the coordination and preparation for annual BHO site visits and audits, including URAC accreditation, State and Partner delegation audits.

  • Co-chair or lead assigned meetings; participate in State or partner meetings or initiatives as directed.

Position Requirements:

Education: RN or Master’s degree in clinical area; PhD preferred

Licensure:  Licensure is required: RN, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PhD are acceptable

Relevant Work Experience:  

  • Minimum of two years of direct treatment experience is required; expertise in a variety of treatment settings is preferred (e.g. outpatient, residential, inpatient hospital settings).
  • Two or more years of experience in conducting quality management/performance improvement activities, utilization management, and medical record auditing

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Substance use disorder treatment experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
