ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Manager of Quality Management to join our team at our office in Seven Fields, PA.  The Manager of Quality Management will be responsible for The Manager of Quality Management will be responsible for supporting Engagement Center Quality Management (QM) and Utilization Management (UM) program description and work plan initiatives.  Manages projects, programs and large-scale meetings; manages team of quality analysts. 

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in the development of quality management initiatives under the direction of the Quality Management Director and Senior Management.  Assists in the preparation of Engagement Center QM work plans and program description based on customer needs, state requirements, and corporate expectations.  Compiles reports and provides scheduled updates to the Engagement Center QM Director as needed.
  2. Under the direction of the QM Director, facilitates the preparation of the Annual Program Evaluation of QM/UM and Engagement Center activities and accomplishments for publication to our customers and senior management.
  3. Monitors core QM processes, such as complaint resolutions, monitors work plan requirements, analyzes data and develops action plans for QM activities.  Assists with plans and execution of process improvement studies to increase efficiencies and productivity in other departments or to meet customer requests.  Leads the QM department efforts to conduct documentation chart audits and chart audit work group activities, ensuring appropriate and timely action planning, implementation, follow-up, and reporting.
  4. Assists in the development of Engagement Center policies and procedures regarding various quality initiatives described in the QM and UM program descriptions.
  5. Oversees member and provider complaint processes and adherence to all Act 68 requirements.

Position Requirements:

  • : Master’s degree in a health related field, management, or public administration required.   

    Licensure:  Licensure in a mental health related field (PhD, RN, LCSW/ACSW, etc.) preferred.  Certification in a health care quality program preferred


Relevant Work Experience:   Five (5) years of managed care experience, preferably in quality management. Prior experience in clinical behavioral setting is desirable.  Two (2) years of supervisory experience required.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge with limited competency with Microsoft Project; Microsoft Access; Familiarity with utilization management, preferably in  a managed care setting, required; Evident of project management experience required.
  • Intermediate level of knowledge, skill and ability with Microsoft Word; Excel, PowerPoint; Analytical and problem solving ability; Group presentation and public speaking skills; Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy; Evidence of knowledge in the concepts, principles, and practical applications of quality management initiatives (i.e. indicator development benchmarking outcomes); Familiarization with HIPPA and risk management practices preferred.
  • Expert and proficient level of knowledge, skill, and ability with Interpersonal communication skills; Verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary setting and coordinate quality management/utilization management initiatives with various departments.
