Job Description


We are currently looking for a dynamic Quality Management Specialist to join the team in our Manhattan, NY location. The Quality Management Specialist works with the Quality Department and Beacon Health Options staff on quality improvement activities, analysis, and reporting of key quality indicators. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong business writing skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to conduct clinical literature reviews
  • Qualitative analysis capabilities


  • Research, reporting, and data analysis focusing on NCQA and URAC accreditation activities (e.g. Demographic Analysis of Service Utilization Patterns, Trend Reports as assigned), and provision of support to Ombudspersons for reporting requirements.
  • Support and evaluation of clinical, service, and quality programs and activities (e.g., ADHD, Antidepressant Medication Management, Case Management, Aftercare, Post-Partum Depression).
  • Analysis and reporting related to HEDIS/QARR measures and participation on HEDIS committees and activities as assigned.
  • Support of Clinical and Quality departments in the analysis and reporting of periodic performance data, including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual analyses as specified in the Quality Work plan and contractual documents.
  • Assisting in the annual member satisfaction surveys, including working with selected vendor and writing annual report.
  • Regular review and update of Core Performance Indicator data for the oversight of clinical and quality performance and reporting results to the QIC.
  • Assist with the Outpatient and Inpatient treatment record review processes; support Clinical teams on analysis, reporting and follow up of treatment record review performance data.
  • Attend Provider Advisory Council meetings as assigned and present summary information on Quality Dept. data and initiatives.
  • Represent Quality Department at internal plan specific operations meetings. 
  • Function as team member on assigned Quality Improvement Activity (QIA) project teams and provide analytic supports.
  • Take minutes and develop project plans as assigned.
  • Responsible for assigned NCQA standards. This includes ensuring that Beacon remains in compliance with these standards.
  • Assist in the URAC accreditation process including specific assigned standards.
  • Others duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Behavioral Health,  data analysis, report writing, quality improvement activities or Master’s degree in a related field required
  • High level of proficiency working with MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of database administration
