Beacon is currently seeking a Quality Management Specialist II to join our team at our Boston, MA office.

What does a typical day look like?

The Quality Management Specialist II coordinates the planning, development, implementation, monitoring and analysis of quality management processes and activities.

  • Coordinates and manages key aspects NCQA regulatory requirements including but not limited to:
    1. knowledge of the standards
    2. working with the team to meet and/or exceed the standards
    3. maintenance of necessary and relevant documentation history
    4. completion of NCQA documentation requirements
  • Conducts audits/internal assessments to ensure compliance with corporate policies, quality management activities and accreditation standards.
  • Prepares written assessment reports, internal document tracking and executive summaries that describe programs, methods, barriers, results, operational strengths, interventions, opportunities for improvement and recommendations. Ensures a comprehensive and analytic document.
  • Provides ongoing support for accreditation survey preparation.
  • Assists in the oversight of organization-wide or service center-wide quality improvement activities.
  • Monitors and analyzes performance through data collection, tracking and analysis. Identifies improvement opportunities and recommends quality improvement activities. Serves as an internal consultant for corporate, region and/or engagement center quality improvement activities including:
    1. Facilitation and coaching
    2. Coordination of QIA, surveys, research and other supporting functions
    3. Use or teaching of QI methods, tools, etc.
    4. Role model for QM principles and practices
  • Participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Periodically reviews and revises, as appropriate, QM policies and procedures. Participates on or leads Quality Management Committee or Workgroup activity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management when needed.

What you Contribute?

Education: Master’s Degree in one of the following related fields: QM, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Statistics or RN with relevant QM or Managed Care experience required

Licensure: Nursing (RN) or Social Work (LCSW) with 3 years of UM or QM experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Quality Management experience is preferred; behavioral health managed care experience is preferred.
