About The Position:

The Provider Relations Manager is responsible for leading the provider support strategy for a growing and complex managed behavioral healthcare organization. Key focus for the position is building and refining a structured provider support function and navigating nuances of each market, including regulatory requirements for each state. Works directly with providers, clients and internal departments including network development, account management, member services, clinical operations and operations administrative support. Represents Beacon in various venues including provider events.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Mentors and develops a team of provider relations representatives.
  • Builds and refines provider support protocols and workflows.
  • Reports monthly department performance.
  • Provides oversight and support for provider related projects.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and complete tasks for implementation projects.
  • Can work on multiple platforms including Connect and FlexCare
  • Identifies and implement process improvements.
  • Provides oversight of all provider issue resolution.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and NCQA requirements.
  • Develops and maintain quality related policies & procedures.
  • Provides oversight for claim denial rates to identify and implement opportunities for training.
  • Develops and execute strategies to increase electronic transaction rates across networks.
  • Manages and lead all provider events.
  • Along with Program Directors, represents Beacon in provider meetings, trainings, or other communications.
  • Manages and coordinate the production of various reports and requests.
  • Adheres to all Beacon policies and procedures and standards of operations.
  • Completes all required and assigned trainings.
  • Attends all mandatory company or department meetings.
  • Reports to each scheduled shift and commence work and perform essential job function at the start of each schedule shift.
  • Displays a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor that is conducive to a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Acts as a mentor to junior team members by leading by example and guiding with a sense of integrity and team work.
  • Assists management with identifying opportunities for staff improvement, high performing team members, and training needs of team members.
  • Assist team members and offers suggestions to improve processes, culture, or work environment.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: High school degree or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Relevant Work Experience: 3 plus years of healthcare industry experience.
