Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overall management of existing and new business projects supporting the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Service Capacity and Infrastructure Planning initiative. This position will lead complex projects and direct implementation and/or operations projects teams to successfully complete all assigned tasks, and ensure the appropriate interpretations/incorporation of contracts requirements, program design specifics and internal standards, systems and resources. The Project Manager will serve as an on the ground Lead on projects and will coordinate representation and participation from local Engagement Center staff and National Shared Services. He/she will be responsible for the coordination of interdepartmental tasks where procedures must cross walk in order to ensure smooth service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, organize and manage integration, regulatory, performance target and operations projects for the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Service Capacity and Infrastructure Planning initiative.
  • Work with project sponsors and stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor project plans including the scope statement, schedule and communications plan.
  • Provide clear and concise project tracking and reporting including meeting minutes, status reporting and action item tracking.
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure resource availability, workload and performance as well as drive project vision through effective risk management and manage changes.
  • Implements approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to maximize the impact of risks on the project.
  • Appropriately escalates concerns to management when projects are at risk.
  • Builds rapport and collaborates with staff and subject matter experts to ensure coordination of management on integrated project activities.
  • Develops operational and system workflows in order to support new business implementation and to analyze and recommend business process redesign and enhancements.
  • Define project success criteria and communicates to involved parties throughout the project life cycle.

Requirements:

  • Five years of experience working as a Project Manager in an Operations area
  • Knowledge of Health Plans, Employer Groups and/or Medicaid/Public Sector Behavioral Health and Human Services Managed Care Operations
  • Working knowledge of Managed Care operational areas i.e. Clinical, Customer Service and Quality Management
  • Certification in Project Management, is highly desirable
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to develop and coordinate short and long range planning activities
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to document workflows
  • Strong attention to details
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish rapport with all levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
