Beacon is currently seeking to hire a Program Director as part of the Intensive Family Care & Support, (IFCS) Program, based in our Rocky Hill, CT office.

The IFCS program is responsible for providing support to families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The program works with families through a family-driven, strength-based, culturally and linguistically responsive model. The program supports families in developing solutions, identify an array community resources based on their need, and promotes permanent connections for the family.

The Program Director will be responsible for the oversight of staff supervision, training, ongoing support and education and overall management of all Intensive Family and Community Staff.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the IFCS program of the Community Child and Family Services Division, including care coordination and peer services, ensures responsiveness to clients, families and providers, and the overall quality of the service provided through the program.
  • Supports cross agency collaboration between Beacon and the Department of Children and Families Area Offices to ensure seamless implementation and on-going operations of the program.
  • Oversees and ensures appropriate performance levels for any sub-contracts negotiated in support of the IFCS program.
  • Oversees this hiring, orientation, training and staff development while providing ongoing feedback through Beacon’s performance management systems.
  • Provides backup to the Supervisors for staff regarding problem-solving, clinical, technical and emergent issues requiring immediate response/intervention.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years applied Child Welfare or Care Coordination experience
  • A minimum of three years Administrative/Program Management experience
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong group presentation and public speaking skills
  • Ability to collaborate with all levels in the organization
  • Strong team-oriented work philosophy


  • Bachelor degree in related field of study required
