Job Description


We are currently seeking a PMO Business Manager to join the Enterprise Project Management Office at our Boston, MA headquarters.  The Business Manager is responsible for overall PMO business coordination and administration of tools, processes and platforms leveraged by the group.  The candidate should also expect to take part in delivery efforts when needed and to assist with various corporate initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position will have an emerging skillset in project/program management, business operations and a high capacity to learn business and PMO tools and technologies. Experience in a healthcare or professional services related environment preferred but not required.   

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage key Project Management Office tools and platforms (Daptiv, Sharepoint) as well as reporting tools

  • Play an active role in the production and delivery of PMO health analytics

  • Assist in the management and maintenance of PMO related agreements, procurement activities, contracts and business collateral

  • Conducts and synthesizes research (as needed) on various topics, solutions and processes to support project delivery efforts

  • Assist in the development of key project, program and governance deliverables (presentation decks, business cases, project artifacts, etc)

  • Under the guidance and direction of more senior associates, may take ownership of key deliverables and work products of specific projects/programs where needed

  • May assist in the documenting and managing  of business cases, business requirements, process maps, workflows and other business analysis artifacts

  • Assists in the development of analytical models that support project objectives.

  • Manage and facilitate group sponsored activities and functions 

Position Requirements:

Education: College Bachelor’s degree required

Licensure:  Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certificate *Preferred, not required, will consider relevant experience

Relevant Work Experience:  3 to 5 years of professional experience 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of core Project Management activities, functions and deliverables

  • Basic understanding of core Business Analysis activities such as requirements gathering and workflow creation

  • Comfortable operating within Microsoft Office tools including Visio, Project and  SharePoint

  • High capacity to learn business and PMO tools and platforms (SharePoint, Daptiv, PMO reporting and operational metrics)

  • Should be an excellent listener and possess the ability summarize complex conversations while identifying action and follow up items

  • Is articulate, organized and possesses  strong attention to detail and quality

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills

  • Positive, “can-do” attitude, self-aware, knows when to “ask for help”
