Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Grievance Coordinator to join our team at our office in Little Rock, AR.  The Grievance Coordinator will be responsible for providing confidential, neutral assistance to members to promote fair, high-quality treatment and help resolve complaints. The Ombudsperson advocates for fairness, serves as a source of information and support, acts as a liaison among stakeholders, and supports risk management for AR PASSE.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Receive, record, track, investigate, and close adverse incidents (AIs), complaints and grievances, and Quality of Care concerns (QOCs);

  • Maintain logs and other forms of documentation, including files.

  • Prepare notifications, reports, and closing summaries for AIs, complaints/grievances, and QOCs and ensure that timeliness standards are met.

  • Prepare and present case summaries to the Quality of Care Committee (QofCC) and other SubCommittees (as needed).

  • Take QofCC minutes and log QofCC outcomes/recommendations.

  • Provide written and verbal training and education on reporting requirements to internal and external partners as needed, on an informal and formal basis, to support contractual compliance.

  • Provide referral to resources as needed, including other departments, personnel, and materials within Beacon.

  • Represent the Department of Quality Management at internal operations meetings.

  • Under the direction of Quality of Care Committee and the Director of Quality, assist in the analysis and reporting of trends regarding incidents, complaints/grievances, and QOC issues.

  • Assist in all areas of quality improvement, including CQI training, as part of companywide training activities.

  • Function as team member on assigned Quality Improvement Activity (QIA) project teams.

  • Responsible for assigned NCQA or accreditation standards.

Position Requirements:

Education:    

Bachelor’s degree preferred in social work, psychology, public health or related field; or at a minimum 5 years working in a managed behavioral health organization with at least 2 years of direct experience as noted in the duties and responsibilities section.
