ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Military OneSource Regional Manager to join our team.  The Military OneSource Regional Manager will jointly provide leadership and direction to the large geographically-dispersed team of state consultants, regional support coordinators, and contracted outreach assistants to effectively translate the needs of the client into the delivery model.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Jointly oversees team program processes and recommends changes and adjustments as needed.  Conducts program analyses.
  • Manages one-third of the virtual team of state consultants and regional support coordinators and provides support and guidance to other managers and team members when needed.
  • Jointly develops policies, procedures, job aids and trainings in support of program delivery and team management.
  • Supports state consultants, regional support coordinators, and outreach assistant contractors in coordinating activities in all assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures efficient and effective communication with the Office of Secretary of Defense/Military Community & Family Policy client.
  • Ensures efficient and effective communications between the state consultants and the National Guard State Family Program Director or assigned state point of contact, installation and unit commands, and installation providers.
  • Ensures efficient and effective communication between the state consultants, regional support coordinators, outreach assistant contractors, ValueOptions Federal Services, Inc.® Military OneSource leadership and call center staff.
  • Works with reporting and quality departments on development of customer reports for submission to client.
  • Ensures availability of viable event support options.
  • Jointly responsible for administrative actions to include: hiring, time cards, expense reports, training and staff development, evaluations, and monthly team trainings. Also jointly responsible for final quality review of state consultants’ monthly activity report, state plans and more.
  • Facilitates customer service concerns brought forward by the Military OneSource state consultants and contracted outreach assistants.
  • Works with other departments within ValueOptions Federal Services, Inc.® and Military OneSource to identify and develop improvements in service and utilization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Preferably in the Human Services Field. 

Licensure:  Valid Driver’s License.

Relevant Work Experience:   Five-ten years demonstrated experience managing people and programs, which includes direct supervision of virtual employees. Must have five years of prior military, military family programs, or relevant civilian experience.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate their: Ability to operate at both the strategic and operational level; Ability to lead a large virtual team in meeting established goals; Knowledge of federal contract operations; Ability to express ideas -- both orally and in writing -- and communicate effectively; Ability to identify areas in need of improvement and solutions they have successfully used to address them; Excellent time management skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; Experience in data analysis and report development; Group facilitation skills;

Demonstrated project management experience is preferred.
