Job Description

About The Position:

Reporting to the Chief of Staff to the CEO, the Associate, Office of the CEO will help drive cross-functional strategic initiatives and will manage high-priority projects for the organization. The Associate will also help with ad hoc CEO Office responsibilities, including managing correspondence to and from the CEO, preparing materials for Beacon’s Board and investor meetings, and helping coordinate Executive Leadership Team meetings and offsites. The role offers a high level of exposure to senior leadership and a strong vantage point from which to learn about cross-functional business operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Project ownership and project management
    • Owning key process improvement and strategic projects, including end-to-end diagnostic to recommendations for implementation
    • Developing methodologies to track priority initiatives and helping ensure rapid progress is being made on key strategic projects
    • Following up on open items and helping push forward projects
  • Leadership & Board meeting preparation
    • Helping drive agendas and materials for weekly Executive Leadership Team meetings and quarterly leadership offsites
    • End-to-end planning and coordination of annual 80-person offsite
    • Coordinating and providing input on materials for Beacon’s Board meetings and investor meetings
  • CEO communications and engagement
    • Preparing briefing materials for external engagement with clients, industry associations, governmental figures, etc.
    • Driving mission-oriented messaging to communicate the CEO’s vision
    • Drafting internal communications and preparing talking points for the CEO’s internal and external engagements
    • Assisting with planning the CEO’s internal engagement, including site visits, Town Halls, and offsites
    • Tracking and following up on correspondence to and from the CEO, including helping to draft responses
    • Assisting with other mission-oriented projects (e.g., an office redesign, planning social events, etc.)
  • Other ad hoc tasks/projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree

Relevant Work Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-4 total years of work experience
  • Prefer experience in consulting (management consulting, strategy, and/or process improvement), corporate strategy, financial planning and analysis, and/or corporate business development
  • Prior knowledge of and/or interest in healthcare preferred, but not required

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an orientation toward demonstrating results
  • Self-motivated with ability to handle multiple priorities and meet aggressive timelines
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-changing environment
  • Able to work within matrix environments to gain buy-in of enterprise stakeholders on key initiatives
  • Strong ability to develop trust and relationships
  • Professional demeanor with strong written and oral communication skills, including developing coherent, concise emails and slides
  • Nimble with PPT, Excel, and Word
