About the Position:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Manager of Peer Advisor Scheduling to join our team at our office in Reston, VA!  The Manager Peer Advisor Scheduling will be responsible for managing the functions of Nationwide Scheduling for Peer Advisor Services. This includes managing the schedulers and peer advisors and monitoring the usage of Peer Advisor time. Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external customers to coordinate and complete their Peer Advisor reviews in a timely fashion.  This position reports to the Director of Peer Advisor Services

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and provide daily supervision of personnel, which includes work allocations, make recommendations for personnel actions and approve motivational plans and/or programs for individual development in order to operate at peak productivity and profitability
  • Coordinate with other Service Centers to ensure PA reviews are scheduled and completed within accreditation, regulatory, and contractual standards.
  • Monitor and maintain the Peer Advisor Scheduling line service support to meet the expectations of 90%, ASA of 15 seconds and Abandonment rate of 3%. Monitor the ACD line thruought the day thru CMS to ensure staff are available and supportig the line.
  • Monitor the clinical program queues and doctor inboxes to ensure the staff are picking up cases within 2 hours of referral.
  • Maintain core competency in managing the ACD lines by routinely scheduling reviews.
  • Initiate business recovery during times of power outage, inclement weather or emergency.
  • Work with IT regarding new clinical program releases to ensure no adverse effects to the Peer Advisor screens.
  • Coordinate the monthly after-hours Peer Advisor schedule.
  • Provides on-demand support for Peer Advisors and service centers regarding use of the legacy UM systems both in CareConnect and Flexcare.
  • Manage complaints regarding schedulers and Peer Advisors.
  • Run monthly reports for the monitoring and management of scheduling and Peer Review activities.
  • Provide Peer Advisor Training to meet accreditation standards.
  • Covers for the Manager of Peer Advisor Services and Peer Advisor Files to ensure the files and invoicing are timely.

Position Requirements:

  • Education:  Bachelor's Degree in mental health related discipline required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Licensure:   Current, active and unrestricted license in a state or territory of the United States in a mental health field preferred
  • Relevant Work Experience:   5 years’ experience in managed care and five years’ experience managing staff required.
