Job Description

Beacon is seeking to hire a Trainer as a part of the Intensive Family Care & Support, (IFCS) Program based in our Rocky Hill, CT office. The Trainer will be responsible for providing training from various models to program staff, identifying trends in program data and identifying the needs of the program and it's staff.

The IFCS program is responsible for providing support to families referred by the Department of Children and Families (DCF). The program works with families through a family-driven, strength-based, culturally and linguistically responsive model. The program supports families in developing solutions, identify an array community resources based on their need, and promotes permanent connections for the family.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide orientation and training to IFCS program staff, promoting the Milwaukee Wraparound values to support the work being family driven and strength based
  • Coach program staff on implementations, workflows, and various topics that support the population of the program
  • Collaborate with program leadership to review data to identify trends and needs of the program
  • Support streamlining and improving program processes, spearhead the planning of those processes, and analyze the effectiveness of program functions
  • Partner with program staff to identify various solutions on program gaps and develop workflows, PowerPoints, and other tools to support program function
  • Build and develop relationships internally and externally to support the growth of the program
  • Provide field/community based training and support

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience providing direct services to children and families of diverse populations with complex needs.
  • Prior training and/or coaching experience
  • Experience with the Milwaukee Wraparound model is Highly Desirable 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent ability to organize and implement actions. Have training or coaching experience.
  • Working knowledge of community and state resources
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field required
