HYPERION ADMINISTRATOR

The Corporate Applications team in IT provides business application and user servicing management for many key financial systems of Beacon Health Options in addition to providing solution support for new initiatives. This role will report into the Director of Corporate Applications and will provide primary application support for Hyperion HFM, Expense Management, Planning and Essbase including all future build out of enhanced functionality. You will be responsible for administering the application from top to bottom including backups, loading data into the system via ETL, pushing data to the various cubes via load rules, calcs and MaxL scripts, shell scripts, maintaining rollups and dimensions across all our cubes, maintaining audit required documentation, and controlling application access/ security. You will be the primary point of contact with the users of Hyperion, responding to their requests and helping design and prioritize new solutions. You must have the ability to communicate effectively with both finance professionals and IT server administrators. You must have the experience to listen to a request or issue expressed by the business and design/implement the appropriate solution. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily administration of Oracle EPM environment as well as ensure compliance with policies, procedures and controls
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, communication and implementation tasks.
  • Assist with metadata (EPMA) and data to support Hyperon Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Workforce Planning and Cap Ex using FDMEE and ODI as needed.
  • Assist in the development and support of Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Workforce Planning Module, Hyperion Capital Expenditures Module and other native Hyperion Planning applications.
  • Support the addition and maintenance of users in Shared Services via provisioning.
  • Perform Hyperion application build tasks and activities (calculation build and modification using Calculation Manager, test and revision, business rules, web-forms, task lists, work flow, etc…).
  • Optimize application and business rule performance based on results of Unit, Integration, Performance and other test phases as prescribed.
  • Assist with Hyperion Report development as needed using Hyperion Financial Reporting and Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Experience writing and maintaining calc scripts, shell scripts
  • Assist with the development of system documentation as required.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to internal resources as needed.
  • Maintain enterprise system and process design standards as well as system documentation.
  • Provide support, research and resolve issues for Oracle EPM environment.
  • Support any future migration to the cloud on both Planning and HFM modules.
  • Manage future projects to upgrade application as required.
  • Participate and assist in financial and financial related projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 8+ years relevant experience in Finance and IT working with financial reporting and financial reporting users
  • 5+ years of experience with administration and development of Hyperion Planning and Essbase:
    • Experience working with Hyperion version 11.1.2.4.079 or later is preferred, as well as current product certification.
    • 5+ years of experience with administration and development of Hyperion EPM Workspace (Planning)(11.1.2.4.0.79 or later is preferred)
    • 5+ years of experience with administration and development of Hyperion  Essbase (11.1.2.4.002 or later is preferred)
  • Experience with SmartView
  • Experience with ETL tools (SSIS)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Ability to communicate and work with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, teamwork, and issue resolution
  • A problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset; the individual should be highly motivated and self-directed
  • Experience with GL and GL structure within Oracle EBS/Financials, rel 12 is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to the Chesapeake, VA, area as needed to support ongoing Hyperion and Oracle EBS initiatives.
