Job Description


We are currently seeking a team of dynamic Quality Management Specialist II to join our team at our office in Grand Rapids, MI.  The QM Specialists will be responsible for coordinating the planning, development, implementation, planning, monitoring and analyses of quality management processes and activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and manages key aspects of URAC and NCQA accreditation and other regulatory requirements including but not limited to:
    • knowledge of the standards
    • working with the team to meet or/ & exceed the standards and
    • regulatory requirements
    • maintenance of necessary and relevant documentation history
    • completion NCQA and URAC documentation requirements
  • Conduct audits/internal assessments of clinical and operational service center activities to ensure compliance with corporate policies, quality management activities and accreditation standards.
  • Prepares written assessment reports, internal document tracking and executive summaries that describe programs, methods, barriers, results, operational strengths, interventions, opportunities for improvement and recommendations.
  • Provide ongoing support for accreditation survey preparation.
  • Serves as an internal consultant for service center-wide performance improvement activities including:
  • facilitation and coaching
  • coordination of QIAs, surveys, research and other supporting functions
  • role model for QM principles and practices.

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s Degree required in one of the following related fields: QM, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Statistics or RN with relevant QM or Managed Care Experience.

Licensure:  None required, though clinical licensure may be preferred

Relevant Work Experience:   3 years' experience in Quality Management (QM) or Utilization Management (UM), 5 years of experience in UM or QM if not licensed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Analytical and problem solving ability
  • Interpersonal communication skills
