ABOUT THE POSITION

ValueOptions Federal Services (VOFS) a wholly owned subsidiary of Beacon Health Options seeks a Financial Analyst II that will support the Accounting department by maintaining accounting systems and adhere to VOFS accounting policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic accounting processes across all systems including accounts receivable and cash receipts application.
  • Verifying all transactions comply with contract provisions and VOFS policies and procedures
  • Preparation of monthly invoices for electronically billing our government customers.
  • Produce and prepare monthly accounting reports and reconciliations as required.
  • Work closely with other staff members in cross-training on multiple job functions.
  • Responsible for contract setup and maintenance in compliance with government contracting funding documents.
  • Producing financial data for management team upon request and assisting with other special accounting projects
  • Procurement, including source selection, vendor quotes and purchase order administration
  • Contract Administration functions such as FAR reviews, contract modification reviews and compliance work
  • Maintaining financial documents using organized filing system--both electronically and non-electronically
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned
  • Maintain team’s awareness of the competitive marketplace and existing vendors/competitors that may approach the customer on business opportunities that we may provide.
  • Assure team is approaching and advising the customers on new products available.
  • Support the development, preparation and review of newly identified business opportunities in conjunction with our sales, proposals and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with Functional Leads, Service Center Vice Presidents and EVP/VP of Account Management in support of the Service Center Budget.
  • Work with team on the provision of projected annual revenue figures for the purpose of budget.
  • Support the preparation of annual expenses as needed in support of budget preparation.
  • Monitor and act as a liaison between account management and operations on any issues that may impact client satisfaction and/or retention.
  • Address any operational concerns with Department Lead to support shared ownership in overall client retention.
  • Assure account team is monitoring any operational performance measures which fall below expectation of client standards to assure appropriate corrective action plans are put into place.
  • Support Account Team in achieving retention of clients and revenue, business expansion, client contractual performance expectations and client/member satisfaction.


Position Requirements:

  • Experience with Deltek/GSC or CostPoint reporting is highly desired
  • Experience with Oracle Financial
  • Strong computer aptitude, including expertise with Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting including application of general accounting theory
  • Ability to work with department and operational personnel in a collaborative manner
  • Exceptional analytical strengths with a particular attention to detail
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience in federal government contracting preferred
  • Ability to work independently and multitask
  • Problem solving- Able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Is dependable, maintains regular attendance, can be relied upon to meet deliverables without excessive oversight
  • Can express oneself in writing in a clear and organized manner

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

  • 3 years plus progressive accounting experience or similar work environment required
  • 10 years plus Government cost accounting experience on a Deltek Job Cost Accounting System
  • Experience with Job Costing or Project based Accounting systems is a plus!
