ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a results-driven FINANCE ANALYTICS MANAGER to join our team at our office in BOSTON, MA.  The FINANCE ANALYTICS MANAGER will be responsible for leading operational informatics activities including data synthesis and modeling, trend analysis, pricing development, IBNR (Incurred but Not Recorded) analysis, and ad hoc technical support.  This role offers visibility to executive leadership and clients while supporting the region’s most vulnerable populations facing Behavioral Health challenges.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Actuary and Medical Economics teams to mine data, develop root cause analysis, and validate capitation rates.Present outcomes concisely to executive leadership.
  • Leverage financial modeling skills to create regional dashboards.
  • Perform year-over-year medical expense and utilization trending analyses.
  • Provide P&L data analysis for membership, revenue, and medical expense support.
  • Participate in monthly close and annual budget planning activities.
  • Knowledgeable of healthcare financial terms such as cost, utilization, and Per Member per Month (PMPM); working understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial healthcare programs.
  • Develop fact-based conclusions to share in decision-making process.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

Relevant Work Experience: 3+ years of relevant work experience within the healthcare industry (preferably behavioral health)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills; must be detail oriented
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Adept with Microsoft suite of software tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Extensive knowledge and comfort with ERP financial systems (preferably Hyperion)
