ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic EAP Advisor to join our team at our office in Morrisville, NC.  The EAP Advisor will provide guidance to client organizations regarding behavioral problems in the workplace and handles contacts/requests /referrals from client organization management regarding troubled employees, critical incidents, training and other events impacting the workplace such as reduction in force.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position also provides assessments, referrals and counseling.
  • Conducts telephone assessments, collecting sufficient data to make appropriate referral and certification decision for emergency/urgent referrals that require alternate levels of care.
  • Prepares and presents training to client organizations and provides as liaison with account management to service client accounts.
  • Responds to client organization requests for services: Mandatory/Management referrals of employees under performance improvement plans or conditional work agreements. Intake, monitoring and case management to conclusion of treatment plan.
  • Responds to client organization requests for services: Coordinates HPS training and work life seminars. Liaison with HPS training specialist. Prepares and presents training topics as needed.

Position Requirements:

Education: Minimum of a master’s degree in mental health related discipline or a

minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing with related psychiatric nursing

experience.

Licensure :  Current, valid and unrestricted California license in a mental health field

(Ph.D., LCSW, LMFT or LPC.)

Relevant Work Experience:   Three (3) to five (5) years direct practice experience in

psychiatric or substance abuse treatment.  Experience in settings that include

inpatient, partial, and/or outpatient care preferred. For some roles experience as a

CEAP or EAP internal/external consultant to a work site area may be required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with computer based information systems and keyboard skills sufficient to type 40 words per minute.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ValueOptions Policies & Procedures, Clinical Criteria and Benefit Plan requirements of the account(s) managed.
