Director, Organizational Development

About the Position:

The Director, Organizational Development will be responsible for managing large-scale organizational programs that drive high performance of leaders and employees; including Performance Review, New Hire Orientation, Talent Review/Succession Planning, Mentoring, Diversity/Inclusion and Internships. Collaborate with the VP of Organizational Development, HRBPs and operational managers to accurately diagnose and develop appropriate solutions to solve performance issues.  Create and execute leadership/management and employee development curriculums; including, program design, vendor/partner management, and training delivery.  Conduct evaluation processes for key programs and present results and recommendations to leadership. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with VP of Organizational Development on corporate-wide strategy for improving performance of organizational talent. 
  • In collaboration with VO of Organizational Development and HRBPs, determine strategies to develop high-potential internal talent for critical roles across all levels of leadership.
  • Manage and execute current Organizational Development programs, such as Performance Review, Talent Review/Succession Planning, New Hire Orientation, Mentoring and Internships.  
  • Develop curriculum and materials for New Manager training, execute program logistics, and facilitate training sessions. 
  • Provide performance consulting expertise, in conjunction with HRBPs, to adequately diagnose and develop solutions to solve performance issues.   
  • Conduct Level 2 – 4 evaluation processes for key programs and present results and recommendations to leadership. 
  • Drive and execute enhancements to New Hire Orientation program, including assimilation activities, to ensure we are achieving desired results.
  • Develops communication strategies to raise awareness of Organizational Development programs.

Position Requirements:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Industrial Psychology, Human Resources or related field required.  Master’s degree is desired. 
  • Licenses: N/A
  • Relevant Work Experience: 
  • 7-10 years of experience developing training curriculum and materials that result in behavior change
  • 7-10 years of successfully facilitating training sessions with individuals from all levels and functions
  • 5 years of managing large scale OD programs, such as Performance Review, Talent Review/Succession Planning, Mentoring, and Internship. 
  • 5 years of experience successfully consulting with internal customers and HRBPs to adequately diagnose, and ultimately solve, organizational performance issues.   
  • 5 years of familiarity in creating custom on-line content, exposure to Captivate a plus
  • 5 years of familiarity in managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • 2-3 years of successful experience working with and presenting to senior level executives.
