In this newly created role, we are seeking a Director of Employee Relations, HR Risk and Compliance to drive risk management and HR Compliance across the organization. As a member of the HR leadership team, this role will act as an internal consultant to the business and the HR team on HR policies and procedures, Affirmative action, employee relations guidelines, and employment guidelines. The Director of ER, HR Risk and Compliance will be responsible for developing and leading all HR strategies effecting employment with applicable law in all states we reside in. This role manages the process of HR investigations and the delivery of HR risk mitigation in a cost effective manner. In addition, this role will support all areas in continuity planning, operational risk events, and guidance on ER projects and initiatives. The Director will support and manage reorganizations as well as potential merger and acquisitions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains HR policies and procedures. Provides counsel on companywide policies pertaining to HR.
  • Manages employee relations process and outcomes, partnering with HR legal and HR Leadership team
  • Serves as leader of Affirmative Action program and reports to Executive Leadership Team and board of directors on any compliance related issues
  • Manages employee relations mitigation risk and ensures compliance to the progressive disciplinary action process, reviews and resolves ethics complaints, and reorganizations.
  • Manages and partners with HR leaders to influence and oversee union partnerships.
  • Provides HR risk reporting and analytics to identify trends and areas of training required to improve our employee experience.
  • Primary internal advisor to HR and the business on HR policies and procedures.
  • Primary resource for HR representation for all operational or risk events that may arise

Position Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.  A Master’s degree is preferred. 

Licensure:  None required

Relevant Work Experience:   Minimum of 10 years’ experience in human resources. Experience in employee/labor relations, affirmative action, and creation of HR policies required. Multi-State experience required.
