Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Director, Network Performance to join our team at our office in the Grand Rapids area.  The Director, Network Performance will be responsible for driving the development, implementation, and management of provider reimbursement models and initiatives in the assigned region.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and lead the strategic planning process for the development, implementation and management of value-based networks focused on favorable unit cost performance as well as overall medical costs.
  • Formulate and implement alternative reimbursement methodologies for various provider types that ensure the financial performance of the network.
  • Support the development of comprehensive networks aligned with product development, sales/marketing growth strategies and utilization management goals.
  • Establish and enhance collaborative partnerships with regional providers.
  • Identify and communicate appropriate medical cost management initiatives to support the overall success of the network financial performance.

Position Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Business, Finance, or any other field and/or equivalent work experience in Network Management/Network Development, Provider Relations, Risk and /or Value Base Contracting required.

Licensure:  None required

Relevant Work Experience:  7+ years' experience in the health care industry, including a demonstrated track record of negotiating contracts with various provider types.  3+ years direct management experience leading a successful team in contracting.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with value based arrangements.
  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare,
  • Strong leadership characteristics and ability.
  • Professional demeanor, strong written and oral communication skills, and strong computer skills..
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized and possessing problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage varying job pressures, and meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Experience working with fax machines, copiers and other office equipment
