Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Developmental Disabilities Administrative Director to join our team at our office in Atlanta, GA.  The Director will be responsible for the oversight of the Georgia Collaborative ASO  State of Georgia Intellectual Developmental Disabilities (IDD) program.  The position will be responsible for serving as an internal and external subject matter expert on Beacon's IDD program with DBHDD and for providing insight of the IDD portion of the Beacon contract with the local Georgia Collaborative team and within Beacon. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for the day-to-day operations of the IDD programs within the Georgia Collaborative ASO.
  • Lead and ensure the planning, coordination and development of services are in alignment with DBHDD and the Georgia Collaborative ASO goals, operational processes and philosophy of support.
  • Serve as in-house expert on all issues pertaining to the IDD service delivery system.
  • Make programmatic or procedural changes needed to improve service delivery within the ASO.
  • Prepare and make presentations to stakeholders as needed.  This includes being an active part of the team working with DBHDD on meeting their mission for DBHDD system enhancement.
  • Assure fiscal operations conform to contract and regulatory requirements.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human services, business or related fields required; Master’s preferred

Licensure:  LCSW, LPC or Psychologist preferred

Relevant Work Experience:  

  • Experience in the administrative of programs and services for person with BH and IDD in areas such as supported living, support coordination, supported employment, or day or residential services.
  • Experience preferred in working with state stakeholders and/or other customers.
  • Working knowledge of waiver service delivery systems and CMS rules and regulations for IDD services. Must have working knowledge of the provider community.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Supervisory and demonstrated management skills required
  • Must demonstrate computer competence with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proven interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully work in a diverse workforce utilizing the talents and abilities of all employees to effectively build and direct a result-driven team. 
  • Lived experience as family or advocate for individual with IDD a plus.
