Job Description

Beacon is seeking to hire a Data Outcomes Manager as a part of the Intensive Family Care & Support, (IFCS) Program based in our Rocky Hill, CT office. This position will focus on the quality and effectiveness of data reporting processes for all Department Children Families analytics under the IFCS Program.

This person will collaborate with the state Subject Matter Experts in child welfare data and lead Beacon’s adolescent care coordination program(s) in data processes and management to support the overall assessment of the population’s health and quality outcomes, which will aid in real-time interventions and innovation solutions. The Manager will report directly to the AVP of Advanced Analytics & Data Visualization.

What does a typical day look like?

  • Develops standard and ad hoc reporting and analysis for State clients and internal departments that will drive results, encourage strategic decision making, improve quality outcomes, and provide answers to population health questions.
  • Participates in cross-functional collaboration meetings and discussions, offering analytic and visualization expertise to assist internal and external clients/providers to focus on actions and gain insight to trends.
  • Provides consultation to all areas of the organization that plans to use data pertaining to the IFCS program.
  • Interprets and determines how to visually present data in a clear and effective manner that meets the needs of the state partners and other stakeholders.
  • Formats data and develops visual reports and/or supervises that process for the following products: internal and external committee presentations, 1-pagers, dashboards, annual, and semi-annual client reports.   
  • Maintains an awareness of current research and innovation in the field of child welfare. Identifies metrics and processes that might be utilized by the department to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our intervention.
  • Works closely with the Quality Department and Reporting regarding data development and processes.
  • Attends data informed meetings such as PAR as necessary.
  • Participates as a member of a performance improvement team and/or task force as needed.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with departments corporate-wide, including IT, Quality & Innovation, Data Analytics, Marketing & Communications, Clinical, and Customer Service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years experience in Healthcare Informatics, Healthcare Data Analysis and/or insurance industry
  • Minimum of two years Behavioral Health and/or Managed Care experience
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Bachelor degree required
  • Master’s Degree preferred
