About The Position:

The Web Developer III will be part of a fast-paced agile software development team.  Responsibilities include review, analyze and modify n-tier applications including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs by participating actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Knowledgeable of web architecture and Client/Server concepts. Work within field's concepts, practices, and procedures. May lead and direct the work of others. Perform a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative multi-tiered software solutions that meet business requirements while also considering other critical factors such as performance, scalability, data security, operational effectiveness and cost.
  • Making changes to existing web applications according to the feedback received from the end users or clients. In some cases, changes are also made in order to update the application’s compatibility with the latest operating systems.
  • Contribute to and maintain a cohesive development framework through intra-team communication and collaboration.
  • Design, create and test database components.
  • Provide support to QA, Operations and business peers to identify and resolve issues.
  • Testing the applications and websites on different web browsers to ensure a standard user experience for the clients across all platforms.
  • Must be able to function productively in an environment where roles and responsibilities are not always clear cut.
  • Training the end user or client on the final product as well as providing technical support whenever required.
  • Designing back end database structures for the web applications and also generating stored procedures that are complex in nature for the software’s maintenance purposes.
  • Finding information about latest technologies that aid in the development of core web applications and enhance their features in the long run.
  • They have to also ensure the compatibility of their websites with newer software or operating system version.
  • Understanding the life cycle of software and determining any changes that may be needed as per the observations and feedback of software testing professionals

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 4 years hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade solutions using Microsoft .NET, C#, XML, Web Services, Multi-Threading, Remoting Services and Windows Services.
  • Expert knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and design patterns.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON and XML.
  • Proven, hands-on experience developing high-availability, multi-tiered web applications.
  • Proficient in using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to build Data Integration and Workflow Solutions, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions for Data warehousing applications.
  • Proven, hands-on experience developing in a highly-scalable database environment (DB2, Oracle and SQL Server)
  • Proven, hands-on experience in Microsoft IIS configuration.
  • Proven, hands-on experience in Windows Server and Application installation. 
  • A strong sense of quality management and a thoroughness for details.
  • Must be able to function productively in an environment where roles and responsibilities are not always clear cut.
