Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Contract Project Coordinator to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO. The Contract Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting and supporting Beacon Health Options Colorado Engagement Center (COEC) leadership in the management of operational projects as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assumes ownership of COEC projects, creating and maintaining project plans and overseeing scope document preparation for assigned projects. Responsible for successful delivery and implementation of projects through their life cycle within scope, within budget if applicable, and on schedule, ensuring customer expectations are satisfied.
  • Coordinates specific processes and tasks with COEC COO and tracks adherence to the processes to ensure timely delivery of required tasks and contract deliverables.
  • Oversees the review, submission, approval and tracking process of contract deliverables.
  • Coordinates cross-functional meetings to support the completion of deliverables, documentation and materials
  • Maintains the scope document and project plan template for key initiatives, and identifies and tracks requested tasks beyond the original scope of work.
  • Schedules and facilitates internal and external project team meetings. Fosters a cooperative team environment in all situations. Documents using standard formats.
  • Identifies and manages risks and issues that jeopardize successful and timely completion of deliverables. Escalates unresolved risks and issues to appropriate management staff in a timely manner.
  • Reviews proposals, contracts, deliverables, exhibits or a project specification documents to identify any specific customer (internal or external) expectations and/or plans nuances and include them into project plans as appropriate.
  • Creates and distributes regular meeting minutes in a timely manner, and also provides project status updates to COEC leadership as requested.
  • Communicates deliverable, project status and key milestones both vertically and horizontally.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care or other related field.

Relevant Work Experience:   Three years working in a project/contract management role preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of managed care operations or information systems of integrated functional areas, i.e. clinical, claims, customer services and qualify management preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid or public programs in Colorado preferred.
  • Strong communication and client support skills.
  • Able to perform under tight deadlines.
