Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinical Services Assistant II to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO. The Clinical Services Assistant II will serve as the primary telephone contact in our healthcare call center to assist callers and members with accessing mental health services.

Position Responsibilities:

•A successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality client/member service with a goal of assisting providers and members attain improved healthcare.

•Responsible for maintaining phone coverage in a call center environment through answering incoming calls, monitoring CMS call management reports, and triaging calls to appropriate clinical personnel.

•Assist members and providers who request authorizations and referrals to outpatient mental health care, which are completed using workflows and guidelines provided, and includes appropriate documentation in an electronic health record.

•Responsible for the daily maintenance and management of provider requests for authorizations, claims assistance, or other requests, submitted through an online provider service.

•Work must be completed in a timely and professional manner and may include making outreach telephone calls to the provider.

•Primary contact for all provider questions involving single case agreements, treatment authorizations, and claims processes.

Position Requirements:

Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business-related field is strongly preferred. Highly prefer experience working in a healthcare environment with a high level of professional customer service.

Licensure: N/A

Relevant Work Experience: At least three years of experience with call center customer service or healthcare administration with progressively greater responsibility is required. Knowledge of Colorado Medicaid a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

•Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and be able to navigate through computer databases

•Able to resolve customer issues professionally and respectfully in a high pressure environment

•Multi-line phone systems experience a plus
