Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic CLINICAL SERVICES ASSISTANT II to join our team at our office in Mt. Laurel, NJ.  The CSA II will report directly to the Director of Clinical Operations and serve as the primary support mechanism for all non-clinical administrative tasks so that clinical staff may focus on clinical priorities and ensure that critical business needs are met.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for determination of single case agreements due to network inadequacies and process as needed. Duties include contacting the Provider/Facility to negotiate Single Case Agreement rates and load final rate into computer system.
  • Primary contact for all provider questions involving single case agreements, authorizations and claims processes.
  • Responsible for the daily maintenance and data entry of single case agreements into computer system.
  • Record member/provider inquiries into CareConnect and complete administrative functions as necessary. Conduct provider searches and record findings including provider status.
  • Primary contact for building and authorizing outpatient cases for members and providers through the registration process and the screening criteria tool.
  • Responsible for placing follow up phone calls to facilities and providers confirming reviews, aftercare and verifying appointment attendance. This may also include discharge planning coordination calls and distribution of outreach letters.
  • Run all clinical data reports including but not limited to: open case reports, letter error reports, single case agreement reports, etc.
  • Responsible for sending and distributing clinical faxes per contract requirements and HIPPA policy.
  • Other duties as assigned to allow Care Managers to focus on assessments and reviews.

Position Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma required plus 3 years of experience working in a healthcare environment with a high level of customer service. Associates degree and 4 years of experience preferred.

Licensure:  None Required

Relevant Work Experience:  At least three years of progressive experience in customer service or healthcare required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
