ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinical Director to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO.  The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight of the Crisis Care Management program and ensures coordination is integrated, seamless and person-centered. The Clinical Director oversees the development of clinical crisis protocol and ensure the integrity of the clinical crisis program.  The Clinical Director is available to the Office of Behavioral Health and community based provider agencies for consultation when issues regarding behavioral health management or treatment arise. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure contract compliance and execution of all deliverables

  • Support coordination of care

  • In conjunction with the Program Director, define and execute on strategic goals, ensuring contractual, regulatory and delegation agreement compliance.

  • Actively cultivate key stakeholder relationships to advance Beacon’s standing

  • Foster business development opportunities and strategic relationships in the region.

  • Partner with advocacy and key provider groups.

  • Responsible for ensuring all contractual reporting requirements as outlined in delegation agreements

on behalf of  the program and state

  • Oversee comprehensive reporting and analysis of program utilization, cost, quality and related performance indicators.

  • Direct supervision of staff.

  • Actively engage all service center staff and internal subject matter experts necessary to achieve contractual and strategic goals for specified contract, State/region.

  • Monitor compliance and quality outcomes

  • Primary liaison to service center operations for clinical activities.

  • Adheres to all Beacon policies and procedures and standards of operations.

  • Completes all required and assigned trainings.

  • Performs annual staff reviews and establish individual/team goals for development.

  • Motivates team members to reach department goals and objectives.

  • Attends all mandatory company or department meetings.

  • Displays a positive, constructive, and helpful demeanor that is conducive to a safe and respectful

work environment.

  • Acts as a mentor to team members by leading by example and guiding with a sense of integrity

and team work.

  • Meets regularly with team members for one on ones and staff meetings.

  • Identifies opportunities for staff improvement, high performing team members, and training

needs of team members.

  • Identify areas of opportunity within department and makes improvements on processes, culture,

or work environment.

  • Makes recommendations for consistent improvements of functions and work flow.

  • Oversees the recruiting and interview strategy for departmental hiring.

  • Identify misconduct and finds resolution and escalate to Human Resources.

  • Travel to all company sponsored events, trainings, and locations based on business needs.

  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned and required.

  • 20-25% travel

Position Requirements:

Education: Either Master’s degree or higher in a health related field and independent licensure as a behavioral health professional required.

License:  Current and Unrestricted Colorado clinical license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, RN, PsyD, or PhD) Re-verification will take place no less than every 3 years. With proof on date of hire.

Relevant Work Experience: 

4-5 years of behavioral health managed care experience (e.g. managed behavioral health or health plan) required.  Experience with financial and clinical data analysis and reporting required. Experience with Behavioral Health Utilization Review, Case Management and technical operations in a managed care setting is preferred.  Experience with Crisis Services strongly preferred.  Project Management experience preferred. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Microsoft Office products fluency

  • Analytical and problem solving ability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Management/supervisory experience
