ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Director of Clinical Services to join our team at our office in Seven Fields, PA!  The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for daily operations of the Clinical Service Department.  This includes the management of Child Adolescent and Family Services (CAFS) Coordinators, youth complex case management and administrative support of the division.  Reports to Vice President of Clinical Services.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains efficient operation of the Clinical Operations Department specifically children’s services
  2. Enhances and develops clinical delivery systems
  3. Develop, implement, and maintain operating policies, procedures, and performance standards
  4. Providing direct clinical and administrative supervision to Clinical Supervisors, CAFS Coordinators and Administrative support staff
  5. Interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, and evaluating Clinical Supervisors, CAFS Coordinators and Administrative support staff
  6. Collaborating with Clinical Supervisors in coordinating staff schedules and clinical activities of the team
  7. Working with the Vice President of Clinical Services to identify and resolve issues related to clinical assessment, referral, and care  management particularly for youth
  8. Oversees and monitors compliance with the utilization management program
  9. Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly departmental productivity and utilization statistics
  10. Serving as member of the Utilization Management Committee Working with the Quality Management Department to ensure that care is being appropriately monitored and delivered
  11. Collaborating with Medical Director, Account Executives, QM Director, Clinical Supervisors, and Clinical Service Managers to identify policy and procedure development needs
  12. Ensuring that the department meets or exceeds departmental and account specific performance standards
  13. Working with other departments to resolve issues related to assessment, referral, and care management functions as needed
  14. Working with VBH Corporate Clinical Policy Committee in the review and  formulation of clinical policy
  15. Coordinate and host children’s services summits with the provider network and other stakeholders
  16. Support the facilitation of complex case meetings with external stakeholders
  17. Coordinate and support clinical audits of provider network
  18. Performing other duties as requested and assigned

Position Requirements:
Education:  Master’s degree in a Mental Health or related discipline (doctoral degree preferred) and

Licensure:  A valid Pennsylvania license for independent practice in counseling, family therapy, social work, or psychology.

Relevant Work Experience:   Five to eight years of management experience in a health care or managed care environment. Must have at least three years’ experience in direct provision of MH/CD counseling services; at least one year as a clinical (Care Manager, Peer Advisor, Quality Manager, Auditor) in the Managed Care industry; and at least one year of experience in managing clinical MH/CD professionals. Must have at least 5 years of direct behavioral health service experience with youth preferably in BHRS and/or residential levels of care.
