ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Clinical Analyst to join our team at our office in Rocky Hill, CT.  Primary responsibility for the Clinical Analyst is providing the expertise, support, training and operational maintenance of the CareConnect and ProviderConnect platforms at the CT Engagement Center. This position will also assist the Senior Vice President and Assistant Vice Presidents in diverse projects and tasks that impact/benefit various departments within the Engagement Center. Such projects/tasks will primarily intersect with IT/Reporting, Clinical, and Quality.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the interface between the engagement center and Corporate for reporting of problems and bugs with Connect Platform.
  • Acts as the engagement center final triage for any reported issue and will triage issues to ensure that it is a true system problem and not user error and that there is not a reasonable work-around.
  • Differentiates between system ‘bugs’ and ‘enhancements’.
  • Tracks all issues/bugs and enhancements; escalates to SVP of Clinical Operations any item that is critical to the engagement center and will not ‘fit’ the normal process/flow (i.e. cannot wait for next release data and needs escalated).
  • Works w/Director of IT related to any purchase order process.
  • Works with other internal Connect SMEs to trouble-shoot and diagnose problems, to obtain all information and impact to other areas in service center.
  • Prioritizes any issues/bugs/enhancements that affect providers , our client, or our contractual obligation.
  • Keeps SVP of Clinical Operations informed of all CareConnect on-going activities and updates, on at least a monthly basis, or more frequently.
  • Acts as the organization & operational lead on all quarterly Connect testing cycles; responsible for setting up testing scripts and arranging/coordinating testing staff, times/schedules.
  • Serves as the lead on any testing needed for off-cycle releases.
  • Provides or assists with, any Connect on-boarding trainings or re-trainings that are needed for engagement center staff.
  • Assists the SVP of Clinical Operations in new projects as assigned. This includes: report requests, QA of new reports via using Connect.
  • Assists with, coordinates, retrieves, organizes, analyzes, trends, graphs, and interprets data from existing reports for CTBHP management and/or Beacon clients.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve processes in collaboration with Clinical Department management team. 
  • Effectively communicates progress and status of workload to keep direct supervisor apprised of any barriers to work assignments.
  • Provides thorough & accurate quality assurance checks on new reports prior to production, which entails “drilling down” to member specific information populated in Connect.
  • Provides QA on specific assigned production reports prior to submission to client.
  • Assists w/preparing new report specifications & logic/mapping to Connect.
  • Assists w/monitoring benchmarks on contract performance targets.
  • Provides support and liaison functions to other departments, as needed.

    Position Requirements:
    Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree in business management, or health care management; Master’s Degree Preferred in health care management.
    Relevant Work Experience:   A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in mental health/substance abuse field or other health service delivery systems or related business with demonstrated writing, analytical and verbal presentation skills. Good working knowledge of behavioral health managed care, quality management and utilization management principals preferred.  
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent computer and web based application skills.
  • Possesses computer skills and knowledge of or the ability to learn (CONNECT). 
  • Possesses expertise or sound working knowledge of excel, word, power point and Microsoft Office Project.
  • Ability to meet quick deadlines & multi-task. 
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Possesses data analysis and data trending skills.
