Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic Operations Coordinator, CAP’s to join our team at Beacon Health Options.  The Operations Coordinator, CAP’s is a key role to improve the overall impression of Beacon by our customers when they identify operational issues through the CAP process. The incumbent will work closely with regional staff when a CAP is received, to document the deficiency identified as well as what is expected for resolution.  The Operations Coordinator, CAP’s will produce clear documentation that will be used to show progress through resolution. Operations Coordinator, CAP’s will be in frequent contact with all Operational units involved which inclusive of scheduled meeting will be used to resolve CAPs.  This role will be responsible for overall trending of issues received as well as identification of additional potential risks.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Document CAPs when received as well as all progress through resolution.

  • Develop and use tools for continuous progress toward resolution.

  • Meet and communicate status of all open CAPs at regular intervals, not to exceed biweekly

  • Produces and maintains recurring reports that show status

  • Reviews results timely and come to independent conclusions that can be explained clearly and supported through data

  • Keeps management apprised of issues that may arise

  • Work closely with AVP Client Audits and CAPs and other member of the team to improve processes and create efficiencies.

  • Assist the Client Audit and CAPs team as needed

  • Other job duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required

Relevant Work Experience: 

2 years’ work experience in a related field or industry

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must understand the services provided by Beacon Health Options

  • Must understand standards of documentation usually associated with external audits, not limited to CMS or specific clients

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications (Specifically OneNote and SharePoint)

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and customers, this includes ability to write professionally

  • Must be able to work collaboratively to achieve resolutions

  • Able to work within set guidelines but also needs to be able to adapt when goals change.The ability to continually create incremental progress is key.
