ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking a dynamic Care Manager/Case Management Clinician to join our team at our office in Little Rock, Arkansas.  The Care Manager/Case Management Clinician will be responsible for triaging and managing of members referred for more intensive Case Management services. Responsible for the tracking and managing of members identified who may be high risk, high utilizing, at significant clinical risk or under-utilizing services. The Case Manager is also responsible for coordination of care and collaboration with members and providers for members in lower levels of case management to assist members in accessing the most clinically appropriate, least restrictive care available to the member. The Case Manager will collaborate with the Care Coordination team to ensure ongoing continuity of care.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Triage all members referred for increased services.

  • Manage, coordinate care, tracking and report all assigned Members in collaboration with the Care Coordination team.

  • Collaborate with providers to ensure access to care.

  • Interact with Physician Advisors and Utilization Review Clinicians to discuss clinical questions, authorizations, alternative treatment options and concerns regarding specific cases

  • Assist in collection of outcomes information, annual analysis and other reporting and initiatives

  • Case Managers are required to be educated in current principles, procedures and knowledge domains of case management based on nationally recognized standards of case management and must be a licensed behavioral health clinician.

  • Demonstrate ability to influence and negotiate to effectively manage patient care and health care outcomes.

  • Demonstrate ability to meet strict deadlines and established cycle times through effective prioritization and follow-up skills.

  • 20% travel

Position Requirements:

Education: Master’s Degree in a behavioral health related field or BSN Required

Licensure:  A current, valid, unrestricted independent license in behavioral health field (including LCSW, LPCC, LMFT) OR current, valid, unrestricted independent nursing license (BSN) and practice within the scope of their licensure

Relevant Work Experience:  Minimum of three (3) years of combined direct behavioral health clinical and/or behavioral health managed care experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Case Management

  • Excellent customer service

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good analytical skills
