ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently seeking for a dynamic AVP of Operations to help lead our team in Michigan.  The AVP of Operations is a senior leadership role in the Michigan/Lakeshore Regional Entity Engagement Center responsible for the successful implementation, Go-Live and ongoing management of the MI LRE.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides operational oversight of roll out of the program to ensure contractual compliance with all state, federal and Board requirements

  • Serves as implementation lead for program, with LRE and CMHSP partners and internal business leads.

  • Collaborates with the CMSHP and LRE leadership teams to establish business processes that allow for improved operational efficiency across centers and the overall provider network.

  • Collaborates with shared services/corporate operations team to ensure contractual requirements are met for functions performed by Beacon.

  • Communicates regularly on program to executive team.

  • Manages engagement center operations and staff.

  • Leads operations meetings with internal and external teams to discuss strategic initiatives, client deliverables, special projects, progress on CAPs, workflow, logistics, process improvements and other site or contract related issues.

  • Communicates regularly on program to executive team

  • Manages AR engagement center operations and staff

  • Leads operations meetings with internal and external teams to discuss strategic initiatives, client deliverables, special projects, progress on CAP’s, workflow, logistics, process improvements and other site or contract related issues.

  • Partners with site teams in workflow development and/or enhancement across all operational areas.

  • Develops plans for managing/retaining talent within Business Operations and improve leadership strength.

  • Provides direction, leadership, and feedback to direct reports and the business operations team to ensure the department meets client and company expectations and standards consistently.

  • Leads and performs special projects, and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, healthcare or related field required.  Master’s degree  preferred.

  • At least 5 years’ of progressively responsible management experience in business operations capacity within the managed care/healthcare industry.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of health plan operations and delegation oversight preferred

  • Familiarity with MI Medicaid and provider community preferred

  • Knowledge of operational best practices, productivity, and strategy design for managed care organizations.

  • Ability to multi-task and balance the interest of multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in project management.

  • Proven ability to maintain excellent relationship in a matrix style environment.

  • Proven ability to recognize problems in early stages, develop preventive measures and workable alternative solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills to senior leadership and clients.

  • Experience in team leadership and management to achieve optimal team results.
