Job Description


Responsible for the technical aspects of complex development projects. Will work closely with the Manager of Application Development, the Software Architect, Solutions Engineers/Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to deliver on-tine, state-of-the-art software solutions that support the ever-changing business needs.


  • Understand of standard typical Software Development Life Cycle
  • Maintain knowledge of client/server/web development and architectural principles and approaches
  • Utilize and conform to design standards and methodologies; use applicable design/development languages (e.g. VB6, SQL/XML, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, C#, scripting and HTML) and tools
  • Develop and maintain overall knowledge of business applications and all 3rd party components
  • Work with Data Architects to determine file/database structure design and definition
  • Work with Application Architects to assure design and conformance to best practices
  • Under direction of the Manager, Application Development, lead development and assemble software components as well as development designs and assist with SA/BA document specifications
  • Utilize test plans and tools to validate quality of deployment deliverables
  • Assist in resolution of issues and defects found in quality control
  • Participate in design and documentation reviews
  • Work with architects and analysts to design and implement enhancements and future release
  • Assist in developing quality and performance benchmarks for the systems
  • Keep analysts, developers, and management informed of all relevant issues
  • Consult with support teams regarding database usage, interfaces, performance tuning, and issues


  • Must have Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3 years of development experience in Visual Basic, Crystal Reports, and Business objects platform. Experience must include VB 5/6, Crystal Reports 11 or higher, .NET 4.0 and above, C#, SQL Server 2005/2008 R2; using and enhancing standards and methodologies for development; participating in formulation of development procedures, standards and code maintenance and archiving; and assisting in development of project definitions, including proposals, estimates, planning, schedules and documentation.
  • Will also accept a BS and 5 years of post-degree experience.
