Job Description


We are currently seeking a dynamic ACCREDITATION PROJECT MANAGER to join our team at our office in BOSTON, MA.  The ACCREDITATION PROJECT MANAGER is responsible for the coordination and completion of accreditation projects across various functional areas.  The Project Manager must be multi-faceted to lead workgroups, develop and manager project plans, initiative and foster relationships across disciplines and teams, and perform aggregate initiative analysis.  Ensures all assigned projects and task are completed on time and in scope.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director of Quality Operations, senior leadership and subject matter experts to ensure the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) accreditation and compliance with all External Quality Review Organization (EQRO) standards.

  • Lead the planning and implementation of NCQA accreditation and EQRO compliance projects.

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.

  • Define project tasks and resources.

  • Develop full scale project plans in coordination with pertinent internal departments and project staff.

  • Manage project resource allocation, plan and schedule project timelines

  • Track project deliverables using written project plans and appropriate organization tools.

  • Leas the development of the annual member and provider communication, quality management program description, evaluation and work plan.

  • Serve as primary liaison to the Beacon Health Options corporate accreditation team.

  • Anticipate, identify, and mitigate risks to accreditation. Prioritize work load and leverage resources to proactively identify solutions.

  • Initiate ad hoc quality improvements projects in response to accreditation risks and organizational needs.

  • Provide direction and support to project teams and individuals.

  • Provide quality assurance and oversight of the Denial and Appeals process and lead all internal and external file audits.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and report progress to sup0ervisor and all pertinent stakeholders.

  • Proficient in managing data and compilation of reports.

  • Present reports defining project progress, risks, opportunities for improvement and solutions.

  • Assist with the development of performance metrics, measures, outcomes and analysis of all projects.

  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.

  • Project evaluations and assessment for results.

  • Communicate project updates in the internal Quality Operations Committee and department specific meetings.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Master’s Degree preferred.

License(s):  Clinical Licensure such as RN, LPN, LMHC, LICSW, and LMFT required.

Relevant Work Experience:   3 – 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager role in the managed healthcare field preferred.  Minimum 1 year work experience in an accreditation process.  Qualification in project management or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management

  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools

  • Direct work experience in project management capacity

  • Proven experience in people management, Strategic planning, risk/change management,

  • Must be proficient in project management software

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills and includes both verbal and written.

  • Ability to lead, plan, organize and influence.

  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Collaboration and team-oriented work philosophy.
