About the Position
The VP of Business Development is responsible for new sales growth through customer acquisition. The VP should develop and maintain a strong new business pipeline, managing both early and late stage opportunities. The VP of Business Development will develop strong client relationships, develop solutions for Beacon to be a valuable Business Partner to our clients, and be able to shape health plan and government issued RFPs. The VP is on point to engage the regional implementations team, account management team, and operations early on in the process, as well as to manage realistic client expectations during sales cycle and contracting process. Effective collaboration and strong external relationship building will be critical for success.

Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with advanced degree preferred
Licensure: None required
Relevant Work Experience: 5+ years of business development / sales experience in a healthcare environment or within a business that is directly working with health plans, state/local government providing clinical or administrative services
