About the Position:

The VP of Growth Operations, reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, is responsible for optimizing the sales process across all of Beacon’s business lines and markets. The VP will be expected to consistently identify new opportunities to help increase the productivity & efficiency of the regional sales teams through process changes, new tools, etc. In addition, the VP of Growth Operations is expected to ensure consistency in sales process across all markets. Cross-regional pipeline reporting, forecasting, and sales analytics will be a critical function of the Sales Operations leader. The Sales Operations team will be directly responsible for (and other sales tools) and Proposal Development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Establish, refine, and maintain all sales processes (from lead generation to close). Ensure alignment of all functional processes to support sales & consistent process across regions
  • Own & manage all key sales tools:
  • Maintain KPIs and dashboards including: pipeline and renewals management, sales analytics, and financial forecasting. Responsible for pipeline and renewals reporting to Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors
  • Manages the proposal team and process as central shared service provided to the regional account management and sales teams. 
  • Orchestrates the cross-departmental collaboration that is required for accurate administrative and risk underwriting
  • Ensures cross-departmental accountability with respect to timelines, commitments, review and other time-sensitive, mission critical aspects of proposal development
  • Partner with senior sales leadership and account management teams to identify opportunities for sales process and methodology improvement.
  • Develop plans for and coordinate trainings for sales and account management teams
  • Optimize sales coverage models in partnership with the regional markets
  • Provide data for input into compensation plans and incentive structures, working alongside HR. Help to operationalize plans to drive key behaviors
  • Foster an organization of continuous process improvement.
  • Drive quarterly and annual corporate operational and strategic sales reviews (i.e., account planning)
  • Prioritize investments in enabling technologies in support of sales organization productivity.
  • Work closely with the Chief Product Officer to implement new products into the sales and proposal process
  • Work closely with the CFO and Finance to plan, manage, and report on the business.

Position Requirements:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree required, with advanced degree preferred
  • Relevant Work Experience: 10+ years in sales operations experience including 3+ years leading a sales operations function. Experience operating across multiple regions and/or lines of business. Experience in Healthcare and/or Insurance industries
