About the Position:

The Regional Vice President of Account Management leads the team in delivering exceptional end-to-end client experience while meeting retention and growth strategies for the Employer book of business.  Business retention, business growth and customer satisfaction are the core responsibilities within the Regional Vice President’s role.  The position has supervisory responsibility for a team of account managers and oversight of account management functions in designated regions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to achieve 90% overall account retention within assigned book of business.
  • Identify a minimum of 5 upsell opportunities within the assigned book of business and convert to new business
  • Ensure book of business meets profitability standards by leading team on RFP response, including developing win-themes, pricing, and negotiation
  • Establish and maintain contacts at the highest level of decision-making authority within client organizations.
  • Attend face to face meetings with a minimum of the top 25% of the assigned book of business.
  • Support the development, preparation and review of newly identified business opportunities in conjunction with our sales, proposals and marketing teams.
  • Manage and prioritize all opportunities to enhance client relationships and accelerate the decision making process that will grow revenue through increased utilization.
  • Analyze company utilization data, develop strategic action plans and produce clearly written recommendations to customers.
  • Support the understanding of the client’s goals and program expectations relative to their membership, locations, product offerings and company culture.
  • Ensure the Account Services team members receive a minimum of 90% satisfaction on client satisfaction surveys.
  • Provide input to product development teams to develop new products and deliver them to the market constituents.
  • Distribute and assign new business throughout the book of business balancing workload and meeting customer demands
  • Ensure Account Team is aware of new products and analyzing opportunities to fit new products into the existing needs of the company.
  • Hire, develop and retain Account Team, which includes Senior Account Executives, Account Executives, Account Mangers and Account Representatives. This includes recruiting, goal setting, training, developing and managing performance.
  • Collaborate with Functional Leads and matrix partners in support of meeting all performance guarantees
  • Support the preparation of annual budgeting for the division and manage within that budget throughout the year.


  • 10 + years experience in an Account Management role
  • 6+ years Management experience in a Behavioral Health environment or within an Employee Assistance Program
  • Managed Care experience is strongly preferred


  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Sciences or Business strongly preferred
  • Bachelor degree required
